What we collect
Your name, phone number, email, trip details, location during a trip, payment method and device information. Drivers also give licence and vehicle documents.
Why we use it
To match riders and drivers, run and secure trips, process payments, support you, prevent fraud and improve Oya.
Location
We use your location only while the app is in use or during a trip. You can turn it off in your phone settings, but trips will not work without it.
Sharing
Riders and drivers see the details needed for a trip. We share data with payment and cloud providers who work for us, and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Trip and payment records are kept for the period the law requires. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to certain uses. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to staff who need it.
